While, I don't *need* to wear a bra, I think it looks better when I do. I don't like wearing sports bras all day long; they tend to feel too tight. When I bought the ones for small busted women from Title 9, they didn't give any support and you could still see everything through my jerseys/tops. So now I buy more supportive ones.
I started spending good money on regular bras about 5 years ago. What a difference. Nothing like a little fiberfill/foam to make me look better in my clothes. Hey, it's cheaper than implants...

I haven't rocked this look in a long time, but I used to live in a smaaaall town and nobody gave a rat's rear end. I never did the whole PJ look, it was usually just super comfy PJ pants and a cute tank top that I would normally wear in public and of course proper undergarments. And there were certain hours I found this acceptable. Like say 5AM runs for donuts and coffee to coerce my hungover friends to get up for a trail ride and late night munchy runs. Times when no one would see me, basically. And most people think I look all of 16 so I guess I used that to get away with it.

The newest hip terms are either "rubbed", "rolled", or "run" as opposed to "rocked", according to BikeSnob who "runs" his finger on the pulse of bike fashion in NYC. Good to know if you are writing bike promos aimed at hipsters.
Hey I live in a REEEEEAAAAALLLYYYY small town, sort of like Mayberry but you can actually get a latte there.
There are some teenagers who come into town to be 'seen' after school in their flannel pj bottoms, and everyone chuckles at them, but they probably aren't aware of that fact since we only chuckle after they've safely passed by (we do try to be polite in our little town).
One woman in town in her 30's does this too, coming into the town cafe on weekend mornings 'rubbing' pajama bottoms, and we all openly laugh at her since she is not a teenybopper and is presumably old enough to 'take it' as well as dish it out. She does 'roll' a bra, but I'm not sure whether it's a sports bra or not.

heheh - can't really help you on the bra question, but had to giggle at the grocery store picture. Once I get home from work (where I wear casual but clean and neat clothes that fit) I shower and jump into increasingly grubby sweat pants, thick wool socks, t-shirt and a fleece jacket or maybe a loose wool sweater with paint spots on it. So my neighbours are used to seeing me at the grocery store in either sweaty full bike commuter gear, helmet, blinky and all, or the above ballerina slash homeless woman shuffling around in untied shoes look. No wonder they look kind of flabbergasted when I turn up at school occasions wearing make-up and a skirt

I just spent $200 on new sport bras, socks and tank tops (essentially gym clothes) and flinched at spending $10 on a skirt for work. I also choose my attire for work based on how well it will cover my sport bra and shorts, generally worn all day under work attire.
I have been know to traverse around in PJs, but not in a cool way, just the "I don't care. I just got in from a long ride and am comfortable and need a bottle of wine and some popchips" kind of way.

She's probably way more modestly attired than the rest of the people on the beach that she's jogging past.

good point. same here. Never looked, checked, or cared one way or the other.That's probably why I was so surprised at this thread in the first place.

As I was properly fitted by a pro this week, I now know some people do notice how bras fit! This lady was telling me she has to restrain herself from approaching strange women in public places to adjust their bras! Too funny.

I hate flannel pjs in public. I kinda hate them in private, too.

Actually, I never knew there was such a thing as a "bra fitter" until I read it here on TE a couple of years ago!
For me I guess it's like- put 'em in there and if they don't fit right, try another one!

I was professionally fitted a month or two ago and i've never looked back. I was in totally the wrong size and can't believe now that clothes which i was ready to throw out now fit me again simply because i'm in the right bra! who knew they made that much difference?

Yep, I endoed and really didn't bruise bad because the brunt of the fall went to the girls. I was shocked they weren't bruised either, that would have hurt like heck!
