I picked up a Specialized Jett saddle the other day & placed on me mtn bike. The cool dude at the cool bike shop(I normally hit the ones that support the Perth MTB club) told me my real sit bone size as i was wayyy off!

Thumbs up so far! Ok, i only did 12kms in prep for next week's 1st XC club race. The course is fairly technical so i was out of the saddle quite a bit but there are some good uphill climbs where i thought..hmmm..not bad!

So... I was off & will not paint certain saddles with the same brush...

The Lady SLR Gel Flow is 155 X 273 and a lot more t-shaped than the Lady Gel Flow (which I find really uncomfortable at 162 X 262 and a real pear shape). I think you'll find it in the Road / SLR section.
I think the new Diva SLR Gel Flow is even better. It is not as soft, but it just 'fits' better.

Not to threadjack, but how do you measure sit bones?

I know what D*H has told me, but are there different considerations for women?

You may remember from my previous posts that I'm, um, let's say well-padded in the derriere, but sitting on a bike for two or more hours is still painful.

How should I get an accurate measurement of my sit bones if I can't really tell where they are? And are they the knobby-feeling bones in my butt? Is that what I'm feeling for? Do you just whip out a tape measure?

edit: Nevermind - I found the "how to measure your sit bones" thread...you ladies are so creative!

    Thanks!
