I dunno about thatthe only pain we're into is quads after a climb.
At the risk of getting this thread lockedI think this bike's the same red as the sheets at the end of this video:

I'm noticing the saddle - it looks really comfy. What style is that called? I ask because I've just restarted my own longish rides after being off-saddle since November, and everything feels great except my nether regions. D*H picked this seat out for me (oh, he of the scoffing-at-kickstands persuasion), but I think I need something broader and more cushioned...do they make marshmallow bike seats? Something with goosedown, maybe?
And yeah, that red is something else. It's a beautiful bike. It's just so classic looking!
I want a brass bell now.
Ah, bike envy. So this is what it feels like.

That red is gorgeous. Now I want to paint my bike red too. My burnt orange aluminum frame just isn't doing it for me.
So how much does it cost to make that happen?
This is the 2nd bike I've had painted. The first was my commutermobile. Check the powdercoat thread:

Another TE'er with fantastic paint job done by the same LBS

I think Ms. Jobob had one of her Riv's repainted here, I can't find the thread.
Your price varies. Are you having it painted or powdercoated? Paint's more expensive.
Reproducing decals, custom decals or leaving it plain? Ours have all been plain.
Making upgrades or hope to find the plastic baggie with the orriginal parts and where they go?![]()
Your price varies.
So you could check with your local shop or PM me and I'll point you to my guy.
This is one of KnottedYet's bikes. She has very wide sits bones and one leg that's slightly longer than the other. This Brooks model is the saddle that fits her, and with springs the leg length difference is a non-issue.
I have a Sella Italia butt, she's got a Brooks butt![]()
Brooks makes various widths, sizes both with springs and without. I'm sure there's a thread here somewhere with Everything You Need to Know About Brooks.
Some people love 'em, some hate 'em, some like the look, some think it's is a fad, some feel Brooks on a road bike is an abomination, some feel anything ELSE on a "country bike" is a crime against nature.
If the Brooks fits, ride itI must say if your saddle is not comfy the answer is usually NOT to get wider and/or more padded. You just gotta match your bones so you are not riding on any of the soft tissue. Ask around here, try different saddles.
