    I have a Tanita also.
It is nice and consistent for weight. If I step on it 3 times I get teh same reading...unlike my old one.

For Body Fat...when I was measured at gym it is consitently close or at 30%. The scale has be 25 - 26%...but it is consistent. So I think it is wrong. (I wish it was not)...but it does give me consistency.

I do like the consitency/accuracy with the weight. Not that I liked what I weighed this AM! But it doesn't seem to lie.

Thanks ladies!I settled on a Thinner, from BB&B. I had the Tanita on my hand, but after a converation with the cashier where she discussed the employee testing (fooling around with) of the scale, the Thinner, while only calculating weight, was consistently accurate. It was the same price, so I bought it.

I have the Thinner and it is still going strong. Got it in 2004-2005 when the first one I had died after our stupid apartment flooded. But this one has moved 3 times and works like a champ.
