Milestone!

I passed the 2,000 km mark today and am sooooooo happy!!!

I started riding in April and love, love, love riding and how it has improved so many other aspects of my life. I don't have anyone to ride with now and the ratio of men to women riding here is like 99:1 so wanted to share this with the closest thing I have to a peleton. I'm trying to change that pitiful ratio by encouraging fellow female athletes to get out there!

I've grown confident enough to try riding with a club next year but am just thrilled to be part of this great sport. Looking forward to sharing more milestones!!! Thanks TE ladies for being a great source of advice, encouragement and for simply being awesome.

Hey. I'll jump at the chance to be in a peleton, even if it's a cyberspace one. Four months ago, I didn't know what one was. A big HUURAH to you, Bluerider! You've got momentum! It is SO cool what riding gives us in the rest of our lives, isn't it? - I'm finding out that I've got courage and determination and even a fierceness that I never knew was in there. And this forum is a big part of it. I think there's something alchemical in the way our shared accomplishments, whether six miles or six hundred, fills the well.
