I kinda like Inferno. It has energy and power.
My jeep is 'Chili Pepper Red" which makes me think of indigestion.

    And 'Inferno' doesn't?

The Honda version of basically the same red is called "salsa red".

My red Honda is called Tango Red Pearl. The VW New Beetle has a Salsa Red, though.

I didn't know you were Japanese

    Splain that to me then

    Tango.
    Red.
    Pearl.

    Tango Red, yes.

I'm giving this far too much thought.

Yes, you are. Pearl is referring to the FINISH. It's not metallic or flat or glossy. It's pearl.

It is a very pretty color, and looks shiny and new even with a layer of dust on it.

Which is funny since my truck is a Dodge and they call it "Inferno Red" and they are likely the same red or is yours the more flat red. This is the metallic darker red which seems to be the only red dodge truck I see in Texas.

My Dodge Caliber is black with "Inferno Red" inserts (meaning plastic dash and red seat panels). I laugh because my little compact car isn't tough or fast with her racey seat inserts.

Where I'm from, we'd call that Candy Apple Red! Absolutely gorgeous! It inspires me to get cracking on getting my 1988 pink Bridgestone up and running properly!

    Why no bar end shifters?
I would think that downtube shifting would be awkward.
