If I had to strip naked from one of those bibs that goes under my bra, I'd prefer that to sitting on a zipper.

These. There was a thread about them (either the shorts or the advertising) a while back.

I think the splitter is supposed to go over your bra. (Or, that you're not supposed to wear anything else, like the model. At least, I think that's how the designers envisioned it.)

That model has significantly different bra needs than I do.

Just as I have long suspected....that Assos company is not really selling 'biking' clothes at all...HAH!....it's really just a front for selling kinky sex fetish wear!!!
    (crotchless 'bibs', anyone?)

MP is right as verified by TE. Assos just uses a different, ahem, marketing spin.

Those bibs are made to use with the SMP saddle... which doesn't contact the body where it would be putting pressure on the zipper. I can't imagine that anyone would be dumb enough to wear those while sitting on any other saddle.

I can see that these bib shorts would only work w/ the SMP saddle - but I have a brilliant zipper bib short solution. I own a pair of bibshorts by a German company called 'Protective' - the zipper runs down the back & stops just below the small of your back. If you squat down you can just pull them down - works really well if you have lots of clothing on your top 1/2 so can't easily release (& more importantly - re-attach!) bibs w/ 'buckles'. Best of both worlds - the pad is brilliant & I think they come in longs too. They are so comfy (& solve the notorious toilet problem without any disadvantages) I will likely get a 2nd pair & also some longs. I got them from the Edinburgh Co-op which is the only place that sells them in the UK - don't know if they are available in the US - but if demand was great enough, I am sure they would find a distributor . . .

I have this vision of a pedal/cleat locking-type system, only with shorts and saddles. Like that scene in Contact where Jodi Foster is getting into the pod-chair with the special suit.
