Mickchick, I'm so sorry. These dogs are so very special and teach us so much in the short time we have them. Maud tried to stay with you as long as she could until her body just grew too tired to work anymore. They always let us know when they are ready to be led gently to the Bridge and when they do, they take a little piece of our heart with them.

My thoughts are with you and your family and Kali and I both send you a gentle hug.

Mickchick, I'm sorry to hear about Maud. Sounds like a wonderful dog who had a wonderful life with you. I hope time and happy memories ease the pain.

Mickchick, I'm sorry. Glad you had her those eleven years.

So many cute babies in here!!

This is Frank, our Boston Terrier. He is approx. 7.5 yrs old, we've had him for about 2.5 yrs. We also think he's a mix with a Frenchie, but who knows? He was a rescue and he's our problem child. So many health problems, but he's such a lover.

And this is Gus, our 4.5 yr old Pug. We've had him since he was 6 months old. He's wild and crazy, I don't think he's ever going to calm down!

They took to each other right away, our BT is super submissive, and our pug a bit dominant-they were sleeping on each other within the first night. They love each other

p.s. our boston's ear is wonky because he's got severe allergies. apparently as a pup, he scratched himself so much that he broke the cartilage in his ear. he also had his tail amputated right before we got him because it was severely infected (corkscrewed into himself). he was in real bad shape when we got him, but he's thriving now. On daily meds for his eyes and skin, but happy!

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words. We are all pretty wrecked about it. I keep expecting to hear the old girl snoring away in the living room.
