Did 20 miles in crazy wind again today. In the strong headwind I could only push 14.5 mph or so and in the tailwind I did 28. Wheeeeee!!!

20 miles today in SW Michigan. I started out in foggy, damp weather. In the midst of doing some hill repeats, the skies opened up. A torrential downpour with a stiff NW wind motivated me to get home. (Good practice for a time with cross winds.) I am glad I brought my rain jacket! I hope tomorrow is not quite so damp.

Monday of this week, we received a foot of snow. Tuesday, I was skate skiing, and temps were in the teens. Wednesday was trainer night, which was good, since the temps were in the single digits. Today? Sunny and 60 degrees, baby! Woohoo!

Set out with my coach and a rather largish group. My one peeve about the ride? With all of the snow melt here, there were people riding without fenders . That's just BAD FORM on a group ride in the spring in New England!

We ended up out for 3:20, and covered about 57 miles with an average moving speed of 17.6 mph - not bad for March. It was tough though, and I am BEAT now. Just got back from food, and likely will soon be heading to bed.

Geez - I hope spring really is here to stay...

I watched DH race a marathon mountain bike race. He got beat by a 76 year old man, he thought that was awesome. The guy was a nice guy to boot. It was windy and hot, I was kind of glad just to be watching those idiots riding 57 miles on the trail at race pace.

Only got in 16 miles, but it was outside- so I'm happy. Fought 30 mph headwinds going 8, but enjoyed the tailwind going 25 with no effort. I both love and loathe the wind.
Glad everyone had good rides today. Springtime is almost here, ladies and gents. It's a good, good thing.
