So next stop was the bike shop. They said I already had the little plastic thingys in the brake levers but added in a second, thinner, set. So that's the quick $5 fix and if it doesn't help enough may have to look at different bars. Interesting, the bars on some of the mens bikes in the shop gave me better reach than the ones on my WSD bike.

Edit: Oh, and the bike shop guy and a male customer both admired my colourful seat bag from the etsy site and wanted to know where it came from
