I scored an Ibex vest at A and J Ski Shop in Stowe. I forget which style.... I considered a Carrie Hoodie, but this was less money. Everything was 50% off. My husband got his first Ibex top, an orangy/red full zip Shak. He's very happy. I also got an Isis shirt and a Terry cargo skort and Eurohalter, all for half off. It made up for the poor snow conditions!
I found a nice washable black, white and gray argyle merino wool sweater at Goodwill over the weekend--it was even half price! The only bummer is that when I got it home and washed it, I noticed a small hole in the shoulder area that I missed when looking it over at the store. So, I decided it was time to learn how to darn. This turned out to be pretty simple although the darn is a little more noticeable than I would have liked (darn it!). Another random skill to add to my repertoire...

I made the mistake of cutting my son's hair while wearing a wool pullover top. I kept putting the comb under my arm while cutting and ended up with a huge amount of hair clippings embedded in my wool pullover. I can't figure out how to get them out - they are firmly attached to the fuzzy wool. Tried the vacuum cleaner and that didn't work. I can try washing it but that probably won't work either. This is an off-white top with dark hair attached to the left upper quadrant. Any suggestions?

The masking tape should work. I use those roller things to get hair and fuzz off of stuff; it's essentially a roll of pieces of tear off masking tape. Pretty much the only thing that works to get lint off.
Ibex is having a moving sale right now--they're moving their headquarters and so are trying to sell off a bunch of stuff. There are some good deals on their website--I ordered a Shak vest and a neck gaiter yesterday morning and they got here this afternoon. The vest fits great! A little more fitted than the full-zip Shak (which means it fits nicely under the full zip). And I was shocked that the "one size" neck gaiter actually fits me and isn't ridiculously huge! The only problem is that they goofed up my order. I had ordered the blue neck gaiter and they sent me a black one; I'm debating whether to exchange it or just keep the black since there's really nothing wrong with black, I just happened to like that shade of blue.

Ibex woolies on sale! at Mountain Gear.com, regularly 60 some bucks each,
they are selling in both men's and women's sizes for $24.00.
Since DH started wearing these, he no longer comes home stinky. they are light enough that you can wear them all day (and protect your skin somewhat)

Thank you, Mimi. I couldn't resist another Ibex Woolie at that price. That makes 3 long-sleeve and 2 sleeveless. I was wearing an Ibex sleeveless under my shirts all winter. Was able to wear the same wool undershirt for 4 days straight. They added so much warmth but never made me too hot.

Thanks Biciclista! I just got my first Ibex woolies yesterday from another site and I've worn it 2 days straight. Now I'll have a second at an even cheaper price. Sadly the woolies for men were out so no first ibex piece for the honey yet. You woolweenies have been a baaaaa-d influence on me but it's for the best. My husband's into saving water - so if ya wear wool you don't need to wash as often! like my logic?.
