Well actually it is an article on Dagny but I am the "52 year old woman"

I felt the writer did a very nice job of catching the essence of Dagny and her training. AND I was very glad she didn't make us out to be a total hick town in the sticks.

Here is the article if anyone is interested in reading it.

And how exciting for you to be a witness to her journey.

Cool. I read that in the paper yesterday, and thought she is an amazing girl to be able to go so far without an army to support her.

That's great. I saw Dagny's photo but didn't read the story.

The vulgarians who share our office suite at work were making fun of her name (these are "professionals" who belch loudly and pass gas in the office--say no more). I love her name, by the way. Is it Norwegian?

Yes, both first and last are Norwegian. I think her name is very cool because it is different and memorable (actually it isn't so different around here - we are a very ethnic Scandinavian community)

I too love the word Vulgarians! They will be proud of her name when she kicks b*utt someday for the US at worlds or olympics

Remember the skier Picabo Street? now that is definately a different name. I was surprised there weren't a lot of Picabo's running around after her rise to fame.

Coldest I've gone is -35 F , I couldn't get my car started at -40 because I didn't plug it in or I would have gone that day .

I only swim in the winter - there is something wonderful about going into a lovely, bright, warm, humid area and doing a summer activity when it is cold, dark and stormy outside.

You get used to going out w/ wet hair that freezes immediately.

Hey today we are having a heat wave- it is currently +40 F! this time last week was -10 F maybe we will get spring someday!
