If two different bikes in a row locked through your cable, I'm thinking maybe your cable needs some shortening up? Something's not right here. Can you position your bike differently, or maybe zip-tie your cable to pull it closer in to the bike?

You rode home on a total flat on your rim?? Didn't it wreck your rim and cut right through your tire and tube as well?

Well the second one happened because the cable was all streched out after me fidgeting with it trying to figure out a way to get it out more easily.

Parkingwise, There is no way to get that u lock through the wheel and frame without having it right next to the bar, but the problem with it getting caught isn't that typical. The first guy didn't pay attention, then it got strectched out and it was all pulled out for the second guy.

The tire wasn't completely flat, but probably flat enough to cut through if it hit something hard enough. I decided to take the risk and go slow, It's only a few blocks, and I got home just fine. I also had friends right there with me.

Revenge wise, all is fair in love and war! Besides, maybe it's a cute guy... that's a great story for meeting someone...

If this is happening repeatedly, call the police. Take a picture each time.

He's essentially taking your property hostage. If another car is illegally parked and blocking yours, it will be towed.

And during your call to them be polite and patient.

Yea they usually offer to call bart police and have them remove the lock for you. (I don't think I would trust them after the whole Oscar Grant thing though, I might get "tazered" with a bullet!) :-P Those guys really are pretty violent and rude, esspecially to people like me who have blue hair... This one was a kryptonite lock though... hard to get off and I didn't wanna cost the guy his lock.

The other thing they might do is take off the cable on my bike and get the guys info when he comes to get his bike and charge him the cost of replacing it, but I don't mind doing it myself so much, just really bad timing with the rain and my schedule and all. If I knew nothing about bikes that's probably what would have happened, that and a trip to the shop. I mean a nasty note is kind of getting off easy if you think about it!

    now you're talking Ivona.
yes, you had every right to be angry. I would have been too!

If you really think he let air out of your tire (are you SURE he did it?) you could let air out of his tire too, but then the next thing you know, your bike will be missing spokes, or.... like bleeker said, it could get much worse.

Lucky you had this place to vent, it's better than revenge.

I would think anyone letting the air out of someone's bike tire in anger would let it all out- not just deflate it part way. I think it's a mistake to be so sure some one did it as opposed to maybe the valve starting to separate or other possibilities. At this point in my life I've been wrong too many times when I was absolutely sure someone did something...only to find out later that they actually hadn't.

It was mostly all out... I cant figure out a way to explain the level of squishiness... um it felt about as squishy as the tip of a converse shoe when you curl your toes up inside. Almost completely flat, but not entirely empty. 3/4s flat?

I must admit that being wrong is a possibility. but I did take the tube out and check it in the bathtub (no leaks) and today it held up perfectly. How could it have gone flat in 6 hours that day but held up fine all day today?

would like to see what you were sewing (and probably ironing/steaming in stages) for so many hrs. yesterday. I'm not being sarcastic here..a well-fitted garmet requires these stages.

We need to see what the future bike chicwear designer is up to.

if you want to do something off the wall terrible, write them another note asking them to kindly mind where how they lock their bike and then sign thanks! you will attract more flies with honey than lemon, speaking from a very passive aggressive person
Thanks TE! You pushed me half way over!

Put a hacksaw in your pack.

If their bike gets stolen because they locked it to yours, that's not your fault.

Here's a couple of em... never mind that they all look like whores!... They're not suppossed to be that short... The dresses were mostly made made for me but the models were all at least 9 inches taller then me....and actually wider then i am, even though they look skinnier, so the fit on them is a (ahem) little short and tight... im pretty short so they fit me A LOT lower on the legs

Um, ok. ....but... isn't that the whole point?

Seriously though- this is like TOTAL roller derby style!!! The ripped fishnets, Catholic schoolgirl plaids, garters, striped tights, knee socks, combat boots, laced bustiers, studded T's, bullets.... You should be designing/producing clothes for roller derby!- it's a perfect match. Here's a forum page of a skating forum I'm on that has a lot of links to Derby punk/wh*re type fashion- check out the businesses that are currently producing this kind of gear- they are wild and cutting edge:
    http://www.skatelogforum.com/forums/...d.php?p=127870
I'm hoping you don't have to be on that forum in order to see the page. Check into the links for roller derby gear that they are listing in the various posts.

So, but why can't you just wear all this same stuff when you're riding your bike, if you're wearing it on a daily basis anyway? I'm a bit confused...what is it that you need to be biking-specific? I assume you're not talking 50 mile rides here. Is it just the rain issue that poses a problem for you when you're riding around back and forth between school, work, store, etc? What is the clothing problem you need to solve?

Quit breathing all the spray paint fumes, girl- you'll get lung cancer in your 40's and it won't help your biking any!

Now I see your bike clothes dilemma!

As for revenge, I would take a pic of the guy's bike locked to your cable, and send it to the bike snob. Fun!
