I hope no one minds me resurrecting this thread... I've been away for months and I'm trying to catch up, and this one is just too fun to pass up. I want to see more pics of TE'ers as kids, so I'm adding one of my own!

This is in front of my grandparents' house in Arizona (and now *I* live in Arizona!) when I was not-quite-three years old.

The doll I'm holding is named Grunt. She is my first doll from when I was a baby. She has velcro that allowed her to hang on the crib bars... apparently, as a baby I would reach for her, and frustrated by my lack of freedom, arm-span, and/or motor skills, I would grunt. Thus, my parents named her Grunt, and that's just how it is. I should disclose that I still talk about Grunt in the present tense because she moved across the country with me for graduate school.

I would also love to know what kind of tree that is, because it looks like I'm standing in front of a giant pineapple (or perhaps I was a very small child...)!
