This little guy has me smiling from ear to ear. I love the happiness that comes with pugs. I was once asked to help transport a foster pug to his forever home but unfortunately he took a different route and I didn't get to see him.![]()
I still get tickled when I think of Frank in Men In Black, lol.

Today, we let Maud go to Rainbow Bridge. It was time for our sweet girl. When we picked up her in Baltimore on Columbus Day 1987, I promised her that we would always take good of her and do what was best for her. Even if it was hard for us to do so. We kept that promise today, after she gave us the look that said she was tired. She left the earth very peacefully, thanks to our wonderful vet.
Degenerative Myelopathy is an insidious disease, and it stole my girl's mobility but not her kind heart. She was always a good sport, helped us raise three golden "sisters" and taught them the rules. She graciously gave up alpha dog status to Agnes, whom she joined today and whom I'm certain is showing Maud all around Rainbow Bridge. Now two of my girls will keep St. Peter company. He's a lucky man.
Maud was my first golden, the dog I had to beg my husband to let me have. I was lucky to share more than 11.5 years with this gentle, dignified soul.
I'm so sorry, Mick.
what a beautiful tribute

These dogs are so very special and teach us so much in the short time we have them. Maud tried to stay with you as long as she could until her body just grew too tired to work anymore. They always let us know when they are ready to be led gently to the Bridge and when they do, they take a little piece of our heart with them.
My thoughts are with you and your family and Kali and I both send you a gentle hug.
Mickchick, I'm sorry to hear about Maud. Sounds like a wonderful dog who had a wonderful life with you. I hope time and happy memories ease the pain.

I'm so sorry about Maud's passing
fortunately and unfortunately there are plenty of friends up there for her to play with. You gave her an amazing life.
