We got about 2" in SE Delaware so far. Got up at 6 and went to my PT appt, then came home to a msg on the machine that work is canx today.

    For 2" ???

Well the roads ARE terrible but not impossible. Temps in the 20s and N winds to 40mph. It is definitely ugly out. 2 more inches in the forecast.

I guess I'll do my taxes...

I almost got out the mtb but didn't want to have to clean it up afterwards. I'll hopefully get to see pics of your snow angel Cody when you get a chance.

Mickchick, I call those happy ears.

Tulip, what does Shiloh think of it?

Shefly, I'm about ready for spring, aren't you??

Withm, hang out here. Taxes are boring.

We only have 2" so far, but are supposed to get 2-4" more today. Still, not that much, not what I'd call a 'snowstorm'- and certainly not enough to snowshoe on!
But it looks pretty, I admit. Here's the view from my upstairs office window at home yesterday:

Spring - YES! It was 60 here on Friday, and all the snow had gone. Here is a pic from Saturday (hardly any snow) and one from this morning at my house - 22F and a foot (this was the first clearing - DH had to go out a second time).

There was probably 5 inches or so on my car when I went to clear it off. I called into work and told them I would either be in very very late or not at all. I'm leaning towards not at all - the roads are clear, but getting to them is a problem. They only just plowed my condo parking lot a minute ago, except there is a swath of untouched snow several feet wide between the part they plowed and where the cars are parked. And there's at least 8 inches piled up between the cars, which will not be cleared by anyone. Because we don't have reserved parking here, no one bothers to clear snow or ice around the cars, because if you do, and then you leave, someone will take the space you so lovingly cleared out and you will have to park in a space full of snow. If everyone would just clear out one space, we would all benefit, but no one sees it that way, I guess.

Oh well. It does look very nice outside my window right now. There's a big pine tree covered in snow.

It's very windy and cold outside now. They say it will be near 60 by the weekend.

Shefly, at first glance I thought you were out riding around whilst your hubby was snow blowing.

Bleecker, what a nice view. I feel like I could sit there with my tea and watch the world go by.

Shiloh had fun and got snowballs stuck between his pawpads, which he did not like. The first one is blurry, but I like his exuberance. It's snowing again now...

That sounds about right! The real issue now is the cold and the high winds. Hopefully, the latter will dry the main roads so tomorrow's commute won't be treacherous. We'll see if the county gets out and plows my hilly neighborhood!

Oh, that Shiloh! Snow boy, indeed. "Dry me paws, mommy!!"

My neighborhood roads look okay. I think the condo association takes care of them. We have some good hills, too, so we'd all be trapped without our maintenance guys.

    Finally got the pictures loaded...

It looks so peaceful. I love a fresh blanket of snow.
