Chelsea,
If your measurement was 110mm, then the Rosie (at 178mm wide) is likely to be too large for you. You may be more comfortable on one of Terry's guy's saddles that's a bit narrower. The nice thing about Terry is the return policy- so if you don't like it, you can try something else!
I agree with Andrea. I suspect the Rosie will be too wide for you (yes, a saddle can be too wide and cause chafing near the nose, although as a big-boned person I would love to have this problem). If you like the idea of the Terry, do yourself a favor and try a narrower saddle as well (e.g., Falcon or Butterfly). With a 30 day return policy, you can't go wrong.
I can't speak to tailbone injuries, but also look at some of the saddles that have a notch cut out of the back. The idea is to lessen the strain on the coccyx. I don't know if that works or not.
Well, I am happy to say that the wondering process is over. When I came home from work today, my wonderful husband surprised me with my newly installed Terry Liberator Gel saddle! He installed a few other goodies, and a new seat post is on its way.
I hopped on my bike still in my work clothes and heeled boots (just for a trial run). What a difference! I think I am going to like this saddle. Quite an improvement over the couch I had on there before.![]()
