Yay- good for you! Don't be frustrated on the first run, tho. I'm a 10 min. miler, too, and I'm almost always at the back of the pack on the first run of every du I've ever done. I usually catch and pass many people on the bike and I'm not at the back on the second run. It seems that people tend to go out way too fast on that first run, so take it easy and you'll pass people like crazy during the rest of the race. Passing is so much fun!

Thanks for the input. I am sooooo psyched!!! Although what I am afraid of is that I may train too hard in the begining and get on overuse injury. It has happened before. Heck, I just worked out this morning and I feel great and feel like doing more. I need to keep myself in check.

Good for you Solo & welcome back to tri-life! I look forward to hearing about your progress.

You can add me to the list of 10min/milers.

Ditto what Tri Girl said. You'll do just fine!

Any time you feel like you are about to overtrain, send me a pm and I will talk you down off the ledge. I lost a whole year due to overuse injuries.....so give me a shout and I will yell at you!

Thanks for the input. I am debating when I should start intervals. I am not too concerned about speed training on my bike. The running intervals make me a little nervous as I strained/pulled my calf pretty bad last summer during a gentle run. I do want to improve my running speed so I know I should try to incorporate some interval training, I just don't want to do it too soon. As I sit here Sunday night I think....Work gets in the way of me having fun But I guess work allows me to have fun too
