Smurf, those are a great series of photos!

Shiloh's doing MUCH better. We've been working with a trainer and I've learned so much. He no longer balks when we're walking. He used to decide that he wanted to go THAT way and would put on the brakes not not budge. He would do that, too, when he heard children, and refused to go down streets with children, even if the children were not out--he remembers where they were.

But now he jauntily walks at my side (he's gotten alot better on the leash, too). He's still shy of people, and when we pass groups of kids waiting for the schoolbus he perks up his ears and watches them but he keeps walking. So do I, which is key. He's so interesting looking that people want to pet him. As I've gotten more confident with him, he's gotten more confident with me. I think he's starting to trust me, so he meets people when I say it's okay. He even wagged his tail when we met one of the neighborhood kids the other day.

He's also better at meeting dogs on a leash, but we're not at the point of doing that too much. He's fine with them while off leash. The trainer suggested a 15-foot leash to allow them plenty of maneuverability while meeting other dogs. It works well.
