cell phone demise

Ya know, somehow after 4 years at T-Mobile I never once heard that story of phone death. All summer long it was guys jumping into pools with it in their pockets. One guy told me he dropped it in the potty on a Greyhound bus and it was all I could do not to puke. Phone goes in saddle bag, it's happy there.

My phone (and ID etc.) go in a ziploc bag, they'd be totally saturated otherwise.

There's no room in my seat pack, and even if there was I wouldn't put it there. I'd forget it for sure. Plus I think the cumulative impact from bouncing against my multi-tool or spare CO2 canister over bumpy roads would kill it faster than anything.

My long sleeve jerseys have a button or zipper for at least one of the pockets, but I think I'm going to have to start safety pinning my phone in my short sleeve jerseys.
