    The bike I use on the road and trainer has the sensor on the back. The bike I never use on the trainer has it on the front. Both work fine.

    Unless you ride the bike on the trainer alone, normally on the front wheel is better because it's closer.

    Most computer don't have a long-enough wire to get to the back wheel, or if it's wireless the transmission might not be so good...

    Ok, i have a Polar wireless computer on my bike. I shall move it to the back as I want to be able to do the Spinervals DVD"s on my roadie bike inside.
