This morning was the first of a ten week series of swim lessons I've signed up for. They are sponsored by the swin center that is the host of a triathlon I have planned in May. We swam a fair bit in the lesson (as opposed to just working on skills), as we were setting baselines for our progress over the coming 10 weeks.
After the swim, I dutifully tied on my run shoes and went out for today's scheduled run, which was: Run 25 min, walk 1, run 25. I was running a new route, so I've no idea how far I went. I'm pretty slow, so probably a little less than 5 miles.
I was fairly whipped when I was done. Today was my first day doing training for more than one sport. I'd best get used to it though, as I need to start working in another bike workout mid-week and I'd really like to start weight training 1-2 days a week. Sheesh, I'm pooped just thinking about it.
