Good luck w/ your research and thesis.
I am not an IM athlete but I have always wondered what motivates ordinary people to do such an extraordinary thing. I will be waiting to see the results.

Dear Iron-distance athletes,
I want to wish you the best of luck on race day and hope that you all meet the goals that you set for yourselves. I would also like to request that you fill out my anonymous surveys. The survey is connected to my project of trying to identify the motivation(s) of Ironman triathletes and will serve to add weight to the responses I received from my interviewees. My research will culminate in a final thesis, in which I will also include my own reasons for becoming an Ironman.
The survey can be found here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?s...xX5bs37g_3d_3d
My second survey is based on responses from the first and can be found here:

Thank you so much for your time. Should you have any questions, please email me or post below. However, I am more likely to check my email with more frequency. Results will be published at the completion of my research.
Best regards,
Vlad Radulescu

It's about the journey and being in the moment, not about the destination
The first survey wasn't a survey- just the page where you can create one.
I took the second survey. I hope it helps with your research.
