    Capris

What type of capris or clothing would you suggest to someone with short legs & medium behind? I'm 152 cm tall..

Are capris the item you'd suggest? I want to wear non serious cycling clothing on my uni commute & am looking for ideas. I do want a chamois in my non serious cycling clothing though.

I'm a bit lost, can you lead me the right way? Leading me astray is ok...

I think you would like the Terry Scooters. They are very stylish looking and can be worn with or without the liner (which has a very nice chamois). I am short, so they are a bit long on me, but still nice. Expensive, but worth it.
I've seen others that look nice. Look at Shebeest and Sugoi.

Are you looking for something that you can also wear to class, or would you change when you got there?

Hey, i'd like something I can wear to class & bike in. My uni commute is 10km one way so i'd like some sort of comfort.

You can always look in Rebel or similar for something cut to be moved in that you can pull over your lycras.

I quite like Ground Effect's 3/4 capris - but they are exie.

I like the idea from DirtDiva about wearing your trousers/shorts etc over normal nix and doing a quick change before class

    hmm

I have a pair of GE witches britches but i thought capris were like pants & not nicks..??

I opened my eyes & looked at the GE site..Ah, I forgot they sell The Ranchsliders & Martinis. The Martinis look like a good option for the short distance to uni. Anyone worn them???

I really like my Shebeest boardrider capris - light weight material, comes with a liner short with chamois that can be detached from the capri. I think it looks pretty great and is very comfortable, while appearing non-bikey from a few feet away.

I have a pair of Zoic capris/knickers that are more like something for MT. Bking but I really like them. One can not tell they have a chamoied liner short underneath. They look like regular material and are baggy and comfy. I am short legged and they look fine on me. I am not sure what the difference is between knickers and capris, but whichever they are, I like them.

I wear baggy capris or shorts over my lycra when I commute or MTB. I go to TJ Maxx/Marshalls and go through the athletic clothing section for running and hiking stuff. It's designed for movement, so no binding. I've picked up lots of brand-name stuff for $10-$20, and just wear my roadie shorts underneath.

Is this comfortable in warm weather? I've had great success wearing non-binding pants over bike shorts in cool weather, but I wonder about summer. I'm looking for capris same as the OP.

As comfortable as you can be during a humid Mid-Atlantic summer

Seriously though, it's not too bad. I've found some very nice lightweight running stuff that works well in warm weather. My favorite capris are some ultra-light New Balance running capris- not hot at all, and they keep the sun off the tops of my legs. I use MTB shorts too, but the liners often don't work for me, so I wear my lycra cycling shorts in their place.
