Hi Nanci -
Lava, I like that!! So that means she's hot and steamrolls through all the competitionGood luck tomorrow and do let me know how it goes. I run every morning and ride late afternoons - I also swim, but not religiously. I've actually thought about doing a couple sprint tris just for fun. Let's see first how I manage the new road bike - I'm so very excited.
I don't own a generator, but on day 5, my next door neighbor was able to get hold of a generator - wow - just having a fan was like heaven. I felt so bad for my kitties - as soon as I turned the fan on, they sat right in front of it. You know, a generator is something I really need to get, but it's one of those things that I say "oh, I'll get one soon" and I just never do it. I do have a great hurricane supply box, but by day 7, I was so tired of eating Clif/Balance Bars, I just wanted some real food. With so many stores/restaurants out of power for so long, I was afraid to purchase anything. Thank goodness I did have some things that stayed in the cooler, but for the most part, is was bars, yogurt and cottage cheese. Oh, and graham crackers.
Again, best of luck tomorrow and I look forward to hearing about your race.
Kathryn
