Another George moment... thanks.
We'll be there, but probably sticking to the flats and maybe Taylor.
Looking forward to Thom's pictures. (Has he thought about entering the VeloNews Photo Contest?)

I'm going to the expo on Saturday - but not sure the training ride will be done in time to see the race on Sunday....
and be sure and give the Discovery boys some extra cheering - I read somewhere just the other day that when Gorgeous George stepped on the podium recently for yet another one of his victories, he was greeted with boos, jeers, hisses, oh - and some light applause. *shaking head*
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
I'll be there too, except, during the race I am going with a couple of women from the Napa club to Tiburon and back. We're taking the 8:45AM ferry from Vallejo with our bikes in tow. If we get over to Fillmore, I'll look for you! I'll wear my SF AIDS ride jersey, so I should be easy to spot. Blue/black/red.
This ought to be a grand time. I've only seen this race on TV. Looking forward to seeing it live!![]()

My husband and I will be there. We'll bike across the Bridge from Sausalito and make our way over the course to the start/finish line.
