OOh, ooh, I can post here! I bought a trainer today! I rode it for about 45 minutes, sweated buckets, and didn't think it was as bad as I feared. I watched a stupid dance show on my computer while I rode, revved up the pace during the dances, and recovered with the judging. It was kind of fun, and over before I knew it. I liked it better than the Spinning classes I took last winter, probably because of the bike.

It's not as fun as the road, but hopefully it will keep me in shape until the snow melts, which looks like it could be a while away.

An exciting 20 min. on the trainer. Not very long, and not very hard- but IMO any time on the bike is a good time.

Well I had my one day bike ride treat yesterday.
Today, my shoulder muscles and sit bones are sore!

Forecast for the next 4 days is back to low to mid 20'sF daytime and single digits at night.

Well, I had my one day/10 miles of glory.

I rode a quick 16 but it felt great to be outside and off the trainer. It was in the high 50s but there was a brisk wind blowing. My legs did not have a lot in them. I think workout at the gym the night before took its toll - what's a girl to do? All in all it was a fun ride, a new loop, new scenery and fresh air. Who could ask for more?

My mileage is down this year - seemed to have lost the drive after my grueling season last year. The century season begins in about 6 weeks and I have a lot of work ahead of me if I want to launch my season the first weekend in March. Looks like it is time to get serious. Time to focus and time to push myself.

Glad to hear you are out on your bike at last, Bleecker

I did just 17km in an hour - recovery pace only after an interval session on Thursday
