Jaydee - I just read this now - so sorry you had such an awful crash and that it messed up your Christmas. It's scary to think how vulnerable we are on our bikes. I hope you continue to recover quickly.

    Home again!

Yay, I'm home - and slept in my own bed last night. It is lovely.

I know I have been looked after so well by my mum and dad, but there is nothing like being in your own home.

The collarbone and ribs are still 'delicate' at times, but I am sure that pottering around here at home and catching up with all my cycling buddies will do all bits of me the world of good.

I am ignoring the pile of bills that were waiting for me - I will sort all that out over the next few days. For the moment I am enjoying the company of my daughter who is here with me for a few days, the cooler weather and the luxury of wandering from my chair to my couch to my bed, carrying my cuddly cushions with me.

So thanks for your wonderful support. I am home!

    Welcome Home!

    Jaydee,
Glad you're home, and glad to hear you have someone there with you for that extra little bit of help. Just take it easy, unfortunately there's no rushing healing.

Hi Jaydee You can't beat being in your own home and bed.

Take everything slowly and have some fun with your daughter around, laughter is good for you.

Jaydee- how wonderful that you are home again and recovering!

I'd say you are truly blessed right now, having not only your parents but also your daughter to look after you during this crisis. A generation on each end is caring for you!
