I'm only a 41B+. I get by with tri tops that have a built in shelf bra. I know a lot of larger women double up with a good, supportive bra under their top.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

I was wondering the same thing as I dip my big toe into the triathlon world. I'm a 34D also. I'd be interested to hear what other experienced triathloners do for this situation.

After starting triathloning, I dropped from a 38D to a 36C. That's one way to do it. That's not really where I would have chosen to loose any weight, alas, I did not get to choose I use a skirtsport tri top in black, and it seems to work pretty well.

Well 5 years ago I was a 38D so I have dropped quite a bit. I'm hoping not to lose anymore there because I can't afford a new stock of bras right now!
Generally I reach for sports bras with underwire for support and lack of uniboobity. I don't see the underwire being comfortable at all if I have something tight over it. I'll check out the skirtsport top since it appears to be on clearance.

I'm fairly small in the boobage department. But what I found when I started buying tri stuff last year is the high end stuff gave better support. I bought two different levels of Zoot stuff and I could really see a difference.

I'm a 36c. The tri tops are fairly good (especially the more expensive as V mentioned), but I do buy the tri bra also, and wear both. That seems to work well enough for me. I like a lot of support!

I think that a regular bra would not dry well, and may chafe (Is that how you spell that?) once running. Experiment! Good luck.

I don't rely on just the tri tops for support. I wear a supportive sports bar underneath. Nope, I don't wear the cute skimpy-dimpy tops. I do try to wear tops that allow me to wear a bra without looking too obvious. I have a number of black tops that I wear a black bra with.
