So the weather is wonderful but...

I HAVE A STUPID COLD!!!!! And do not have the urge to ride! And I had been going out every day too. I want to get on my bike and enjoy this weather but the second I walk down to the garage I get all tired. That was how I knew I was getting a cold. I was riding my back and every hill was exhausting. And these are hills I have been riding for years. All of sudden i hated them! Got home and layed down. been down now since wed. SO tomorrow I should feel better right?

I'm in the same situation you are. I have a cold too. I was riding doing errands on my bike and testing a new saddle at the same time. I woke up the next moring and my heart rate was up and I could tell something was happening. So I stuck around the house most of the last two days. My nose is finally draining which, I guess, is a good thing. The rest of me feel ok. Perhaps by Tues I will be back to my normal self again.

I should have put bags of Gypsy Cold Care tea in the mail on saturday! Makes me feel a wee bit better. There's another herbal cold tea that I swear has cat-nip in it. My cats try to snag the bag in the cup as I'm waiting for the water to boil. More than once they've made off with the tea bag, or stolen it where I drain it before it goes out on the compost pile. Drug crazed furry beasts.

Hope you feel better soon. I'm really hoping I don't get a second round of the office cold. I had my turn, and once is enough, thank-you-very-much.

I am begining to feel better. I am getting drainage from the nose now. The rest of me feels "ok" although not toally better either. Maybe another day or two and I'll be back to a more "normal" situation.

I like your think Spring Solo. That was what got me out riding to begin with. These temps are wonderful after being so cold. The sunshine is great too. It will become warmer eventually.

    Brandi-hope your feeling better too!

Oh Noooooo! I just got over a coughing/hacking/too tired to do anything cold. I was sick for almost 3 weeks. DH came home tonight with achy head and chills. If you have the basic head cold, my friend got over it in about 1 week - get lots of rest and hope for the best! With any luck it will rain tomorrow - Cali needs H2O, the humidity will be better for your cold and you wouldn't be riding in it anyway! Get better soon! Tokie

There is nothing worse than a rotten cold. It is so frustrating at this time of the year not being well, I am getting over a sore throat, although it only lasted a couple of days, it just put a complete damper on my motivation and new regime for riding my bike.

Hopefully by now, everybody is getting much better.

Me too. Have had a cold/flu since Jan. 8. I think it is a virus that interfered with my immune system because my arthritis (wrist, hip and toe) got really bad. I have lost my voice completely since last Friday (although nobody around me is complaining about that!!). I have even tried every home remedy there is, including Oil of Oregano - nasty stuff!! And Yes, like Brandi said, the weather is so great!! What a waste of good riding. Oh well, as they say, "all things are passing".

Hope you all are getting better too. I am still not up to par yet. Arrgh!

Clock- I love your avitar. Your frog and orange are great!

I hope this cold does not last forever. I think I am on week two. You would think that after ten days the thing would go away. I would love to go out and ride but that will not happen until everything is better. Clock, I was like you. I had just started to get myself back together after the holidays and getting some exercise when this hit. There went my exercise. I just am watching what I eat so I do not gain it all back.

Awh I feel for you. It's been gorgeous here and I've had to work both jobs just about every day. I drove to work yesterday then left my truck and rode home. This morning was Winter Bike to Work day (50 degrees in Boulder by 7AM) rode back this morning. I like this system. Gonna ride in with a friend tomorrow and take Candy girl home for the weekend. Were it not for commuting I'd be getting nothing in. And I still need to find time for the Pony. Ugh.

Well, I tought I was safe. I had a little cold at the end of December so I figured Ya no more colds for me. Well that was a big fat NO. I came down with a cold last weekend and it has totally kicked me in the butt. Talk about sleep that is all I have energy for. Today was so nice, sunny with temps in the 50 Oh well, I am sure there will be plenty more nice days ahead.

Solo- sorry to hear your under the weather. Not fun! Sleep lots and do all of those good things for your body so you will be healthy again soon. Perhaps sit by a window in the sunshine and take a nap.
