I hope so! We need to get her some karate lessons. Although, she seemed to hold her own against Pinky, her shelter roommate.

Today there was a glitch in our plans to take her home tomorrow . They (the shelter) brought her by van to a vet to be spayed along with some little kittens, and the vet discovered the kittens have calicivirus (basically feline cold). So, even though she has no symptoms, she's been exposed. Since she might be sick, they didn't didn't spay her. We've decided to wait a few days and watch to see that she and the other kittens don't develop anything worse than minor cold/flu symptoms. If all goes well, no one gets seriously ill, we'll get her thurs.

I know you'll all send some good vibes her way! She's had a rough little life. She's ready for a home.

    Good vibes to Twiggy!

I volunteer with shelter cats... its pretty much a given that they will all get kitty flu... stressful environment, crowded conditions and all even though the sick ones are quarantined as soon as its noticed. Kittens/young cats usually don't get as sick and get over it pretty quickly.

Ama -- so glad Maggie is feeling better (been following the other thread). Hope she'll continue to improve. I like the shaved leg look; it's cute!

Twiggy's here! My vet, the best vet in the world, went to the shelter last night to check her out (without my asking!). She thought she was cute, sweet, healthy, and doubted she had been infected, so I took her home today!

I was supposed to keep them apart, but that didn't happen. Eddy acted like he was going to die if he didn't get to see her. So, I let him, and that was that. They played all day long. They like each other! She's been pretty domineering, and he's a little scared of her, which is perfect. She has been chasing him around all day, now they're finally conked out. I think they had a contest to see who could stay awake the longest. I'm expecting to be up all night.

Ama, Maggie looks great. Isn't funny how tiny her little bones are under the fluff?!

Yippee for Twiggy. Heidi and Maggie were thick-as-thieves from the minute Maggie arrived. Heidi about bounced off the walls "oh goodie, look what they brought me, a friend!!!" I bet you were relieved they hit it off so well?

Occassionally, I shave the girls myself and they both are so tiny under the fluff. They seem like such bigger dogs when we let them get a bit wild 'n wooly.
