I believe the 6-8 weeks, because the co-worker who brought this crud into work and (hacked and coughed all over) is now on her 4th week of coughing. I wish she had stayed home and kept her cooties to herself! Tokie

yeah, that really long lasting one went around my area in the fall. I was able to beat it after two weeks with lots of ashwagandha and vitamin C, but I was sicker than I'd ever been with a plain cold. It was almost to where I thought it might be a mild flu. Yuk.

Same thing happened in my office. It's been making the rounds since right before Thanksgiving. Yech!

I can't remember when I've been this sick for this long.

    oh dear...

    to all sick riders,

please take it easy and get well quick.

ride while sick? Not anymore... I'm mostly a fair weather rider now. No more training in the drizzling rain. No more training in heavy fog.

Went out one time with head cold and I ended curling up into a ball on the side of the road for like 20 minutes cause I felt just so awful. managed to limp home, take a hot shower and went straight to bed. Don't want to do that again.

Also I can not take any risks in crashing. My last crash was like Saul Raisin. There is no next time for me. Soooo I HAVE TO BE extra careful.

My Nanny has it, going around the assisted living and over staying its welcome. Of course this is a group with compromised health so of course it will last longer. On top of the cold Austin is suffering with cedar fever- yeehaw. This is the one allergy I haven't developed, I just keep waiting for it to get me.

Oh man, cedar. We haven't started getting it quite yet, but it'll be here soon enough.

I've stuck with my allergist in Ohio because I trust them, and because most of my major allergies are the pollens and molds they have up there. But they don't have cedar/juniper in their library of antigens, so it's not in my shots. Cedar season is nothing like I used to suffer through in ragweed season, but it's no fun for me.

Just got back from the doctor confirming that I do, indeed, have bronchitis. Sigh. Now it's anitbiotics and cough syrup with codeine - at least I'll be able to sleep at night!

So, in answer to the original post - be careful. Sometimes riding while sick isn't worth it (and even though I already KNEW that, I did it anyway).
