I'm making my own and I noticed the lycra I bought appears VERY sheer, so I'm going to double that area to cover my backside. I don't know if I'm going to be up to riding commando yet though.I don't have a pattern for a chamois with this Jalie 2216 pattern.

Apparently, one of my shorts is... hmm, a little too transparent. One of the guys who rides with me, told me that he can make out my butt crack in one of the shorts I have.
I'm guessing it the the Pearl Izumi shorts I have. They were full price around 50$, so not the fancy stuff that is preferred. I don't remember the specifics on them, but... yeah..
At least my Ultrafinos are safe

mary, I'm wondering if we've exchanged emails over making shorts? If not, have you seen my sewing page for do it yourself? I find that if you use a 7 to 9 oz lycra instead of swim lycra, you don't get the transparency problem. also, give me a PM with your address and I'll make a copy of my chamois pattern for you and mail it.
