We did about 13 miles on the tandem. The temp was just around 30 and the sides of the road are still pretty mucky with slush piles, but traffic is generally very light on Sundays so we ventured out.

We got cold and wet and hit a treacherous patch of bumpy ice, but by miracle or skill we didn't fall. We're really proud of our riding and celebrating with a bit of Yellow Label.

The bike is in the living room for a wipe down, and the new Brooks bar tape got its first schmear of Proofide. Every time one of us walks by it, we stroke the bars or saddles and hiss, "the preciousssssss."
