If I were diagnosed with cancer I wouldn't feel so enthused to potentially pass that gene onto a child. But maybe there's a chance he'd create another cycling hero.

It's my understanding that most cancers are not thought of as being caused by inheritable genetic characteristics. Some few are strongly connected to genes; some to random mutations, which are not inherited; some from human activities; some are thought to have viral origins. They really still don't know much about what causes cancer. There are quite a lot of people with cancer who have children, and all parties end up doing quite well.

OK, I promised some inclement weather pix:
1. the county send a loader to clean out the culdesac I live on, this pile is at least 7' high...
2. View out of one of our windows:
3. putting the snow thrower to good use:
It did warm up today and melt a lot, but more is coming....

So Irulan- does this mean that Lance is going to cancel the baby shower at your place until the snow melts?![]()

He's the one who lent the county that front loader!
This further confirms my belief that Lance is Superman

Irulan -
Those pictures are great! It's kind of funny, though. That's a "day in the life" in my area...the land of four-wheel drive.
I guess my son had good timing. He graduated this June 2008 from EWU! He missed the worst snow fall in, what did the news say?, 46 or 47 years! WOW Irulan! Stay warm!
Over here on the wet side it's just that WET! All the snow has (or is) melted and it's currently raining. And it's also very windy. Now with all the snow gone from the roads I can see that the shoulders are covered with sand. Hopefully by spring the rains will wash it all away.
I guess it's the gym and spin class again for me! I did deck out my blog page though. I added a "winter background scene" I can't wait to change it to a spring theme!
Blog's winter theme.
