I asked for no gifts this Christmas (had to replace the furnace & ac in August, so I want to replenish that big chunk of change).

DH didn't listen but showed restraint. Santa brought me a wool PI jersey and a PI winter biking jacket. He' agreed to return the latter because I have way too many winter cycling jackets.

The weather here was glorious yesterday - warm and sunny. This was a treat because December had ONLY three days that were clear, and the month was colder than usual, with lots of rain. We ended up taking a long walk in the city, along the Potomac. I made up for it by eating a lot of the cookies I made and several handfuls of chocolate-covered pretzels.....
