    I used to wear 38s when I wore Birkenstocks...but I'm thinking that's different for cycling shoes.

    But a 38, doesn't that translate to about an 8, 8 1/2 US shoe size? I don't consider that a small foot! A 6 is small!

    No, it's definitely in the 6.5 area.

    Size conversion also varies by manufacturer.

    Just FYI a 39 can mean a lot of different sizes based on the brand. I am a 39 in Sidi but a 38 or even 37.5 in Pearl Izumi. Street shoes I buy a 7 normally.

    EVERYBODY NOTE: these shoes already have the SPD cleat you need for spin class...
