I'm sure it's been at least eight years since I've been to a movie theatre but in January I'm going to the local theatre (formerly known as the Tivoli and the only theatre in town) to see a cartoon festival

I just saw "seven pounds" yesterday. It was a real tear jerker. I highly recommend this movie.

I'm dying to see Doubt, and Milk is high on the list too.

One drawback of small town life is that you either have to drive a long way or take your chances on the "art house" movies coming to town.

Then if they do come to town and you've already driven somewhere else to see them, you feel like you have to see them again, just to support and encourage your local theater to keep getting limited release movies.

Last movie I saw in a theater was Serenity, the biggest drawbacks to a theater are no pause button, no adult beverages, and you have to wear real clothes.

Columbus has at least three theaters that serve beer and wine. I think more. Are Illinois' laws different, or you just not looking hard enough?

Pretty sure you have to wear clothes at all of them though.

We had a place that offered beer and pizza but it turned into a concert venue. Now it's just one art house and the usual mega theaters. And yes, they all require actual clothes.
