Team event tri/du

Hiya,

I'm thinking of staging a fun tri for my team (and maybe some others joining in) at work, in the summer...

Very close by the office, there's a park with a 300m artificial basin.

I'd love to do something along the lines of swim 300 (once across the basin, bike a couple K (or not) run 3 times around the basin - then have some bbq and beer, prizes and consolation goodies for everyone.
Bit more difficult is the bike. Now not everyone (but almost everyone, I guess) has a bike. There's some more paths but you'd have to cross somehwere, etc... nothing well accessible and conductive to a race situation...

Running would be ok on the park paths.

Ideas?

Well I do not have the budget to fly you over....

DBF and I spun this some more -

we might try and enlist a few members of my club to team up with the office mates, to help them out with any weakness and to also show "how it could be". The "weakest" team gets the strongest "athlete".

It should be called pencilman.

We would have very short distances but possibly do a triple sprint (swim-bike-run)x3, where either they keep to their discipline or rotate.
