Hugs to you
I agree with everyone else, karma will sort itself out, and I think you should save that poor kitty!
My parents used to live next door to these people who kept cats but never took care of them. One day a young female got hit by a car. What does the neighbour do? comes knocking on my parents' door and expects my mother to take her to the vet! She did, of course, and paid for all the expenses to boot. The cat was treated and released and they didn't even so much as say thank you!! the poor kitty eventually disappeared![]()
So I think you should keep that kitty!
Brandi - You are a good soul. Sounds like you're handling all the stress well and are keeping a good sense of humor. I agree w/Tulip--make sure you take care of yourself! Sending a lot of good karma your way. All the kindness you've shown others---including kitties---will come back to you.
You are truly an angel! Congrats on your new cat!![]()

It is kind souls like you that keep me feeling positive about the world.
We have an IL governer about to be impeached; A NY financeer who pulled off a Ponzi scheme...
But then we have beautiful people, like you, who weep over hurting animals. And take them for help, and nurse them back to health.
You're one of those people that makes the world a good place![]()

I hope your sick kitties are doing better, and hopefully they're good patients and take their medicine nicely. How can anyone let an injured kitty go that long is beyond me too. And many thanks to the lady who runs the shelter who treated street kitty.
Beth
All kitties are doing pretty good today. Ponce's(street kitty) face is looking better and you can tell he feels better. Aki on the other hand is taking a little more time to heal. Let me tell you treating a sore at the base of a cats tail...not fun. But she is letting me put hot compresses on it for a few minutes at a time. And lucky for the meds are liquids so that is easy. I think Aki's is going to take another day or two before we see improvment. It is draining (sorry) though and she is finally sitting without wincing. I was thinking we were going to have to get her a hemroid donut!
I am feeling a little more like myself today. We made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. That's a first in our house. And later we are going to check out a place that is supposed to have great Christmas decor. Then work more on our ginger bread house. Then tonight we are supposed to make christmas head bands at my friends house. So keeping busy!
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Ponce de Leon? What a sweet boy and it looks like he's healing nicely.![]()
You're so sweet for taking in your neighbor's kitty. I can't stand when people don't take care of their animals!! That poor baby. And I'm with you on the stressing over animals - my dog Lacey just cost us $300 a couple days ago with her dang skin problems. I keep telling the kids and dogs that if it weren't for them we'd be living like kings! LOL
Merry Christmas and hopefully stress-free times are on the way.![]()

Be the change you want to see in the world.
Thought I would introduce Ponce to you all. And by the way Black cats are not easy to take picture's of. You can see the one bad spot on his face the other is on his cheek and not that small. And this looks waaaay better then it did a few days a go! He has been good and coming in to get his meds every day. And Aki is doing ok. Her's seems to be taking longer to come down. I have to hold warm compresses on her butt 3 times a day. That's not easy with an unwilling cat! But it's draining (sorry) like it should and thats what we want! Oh the spot by his eye is where the twig was. Way to close to his eye as far as i was concerned.
