Help! Chain dirt on car seat!

It's happened to my car, too, but I figure it's just wear and tear. Next time I buy a car, though, I might well consider a black interior.

I just cleaned up a lot of chain grease from my back seat about 3 weeks ago. I used something called Goo-Gone. It's a solvent so it's not nice. But I didn't use a lot and without a lot of residual left. It completely removed the grease and you can't even tell there was grease there. It also did not change the color of the fabric.

Hmm. Says it's non-toxic. Maybe it's not a solvent. Smells like citrus though.

Go to an auto supply store, something like Pep boys or Auto Zone.
They should know.

If it's leather seats, try hair spray.
If it's fabric, try gently dabbing it with Wet Ones first then consider Spot Shot carpet cleaner.
