Yes - they do. It's the 1st or 2nd week of August, around the 10th sometime? http://www.cdatriathlon.com/
For the last 4 or 5 years, we've had a conference we attend for work the week before and we don't return until that Sunday. Bah! I've heard from other people that have done it and they like it.
The same people put on the Coeur d'Alene Marathon, I believe. That race is fairly well organized - it's not huge, but you can find everything, and the people are decent. (The shirts for that sucked last year, though, it was a technical shirt but made by a different company and they fit everyone wrong, tall or short, male or female, more than usual)
Swim is a beach start and the water should be a decent temperature by then. The bike definitely has hills (and no drafting) - the yellow section is very pretty, but not flat, and often one direction or the other has wind coming off the lake. The blue/red section does at least go up a hill, but I'm not really familiar with that area. The run is flat, though.A cyclist's triathlon?
