Most of the time I don't know in which forums the threads are posted. I just do "new posts" and read whatever is there that I am interested in...

That's what I do, too. From an administrative perspective, I am curious as to the difference between open, noncycling topics and a way, way off topic topics.

I think the way off-topic ongoing discussions started in the open topic category but eventually became almost chat rooms (see Thread Drift and OT: Australia for examples). Fun places to be in. Originally Posted by indysteel
