    Great looking dog Tulip!
He looks like he has found his place in the world at last.
Makes me smile when pet and owner look so happy together.
    Enjoy.

I posted some more pictures in the Show Us Your Pets thread, bottom of page 38. He's a great dog, I must say! Lots of other sweeties on that thread, too.

And don't forget to put a treat under the tree for her! Doggies get Christmas presents too.

Good point! I'm so new to this, keep the advice coming!

He doesn't like rain...I figured that out this morning. And he can be stubborn about it, too!

If you don't have some extra old towels, you might want to go out and buy some cheap ones to wipe wet paws and dry off your fur baby. I was in K-Mart not too long ago, and they had bath size towels for $1 each (think cheap hotel type). I bought a stack.

Mine hate the rain, they look at me like I am evil when I make them go out. They do have their own stockings which usually have a treat in it. They don't like toys and have sensitive tummies so it is usually just one treat.

oooh, I'm so envious!! congratulations on your new boy!

I was perusing the local SPCA for dogs, I still have such a huge spot for senior Rottweilers and found one that just broke my heart. He was neglected and was found emaciated but doesn't have a mean bone in his body and just wants a peaceful retirement home. I don't know if I'm ready to go back into it again, but I know when the time is right I'll end up with another senior dog.

Tulip! Shiloh is absolutely adorable! And I love the name you picked too, very sweet. Now about your new hairsytle......I thought your previous hairstyle was a large afro topknot( based on your avatar). so I thought the hairstyle was the least of your changes!, as I thought you were of African American ethnicity! Is there a story about your avatar? Tokie

She's Heather Small, the lead singer for M People, a great British dance/house band of the 90s. Love them, and I love her style. I went for a long time with no avatar, but then changed my mind about them. They are our alter-egos.

Shiloh was not treated very well in his previous life. He's terrified of children and extremely leary of strangers. I think the obedience class will help to socialize him, and hopefully he can learn to trust people again. He warmed up to me right away, but he's so interesting-looking that strangers want to come up and pet him and he doesn't like that at all. And I have to schedule our walks so that they don't conflict with school bus action (lots of kids in my neighborhood). He's an extremely good dog, though! I couldn't have asked for a better pup, especially since I haven't had one since Daisy (also a Border Collie) died in 1985.
