Sorry, but its not a matter of agreeing or not. You can disagree all you want, but that won't make it the same. It is a different photograph.
Her head is at a different angle
Her knee is overlapping her leg differently
Her hair is blowing around
Her gaze is more forward
Her arm is lower
The lighting is entirely different - trust me not photoshop effect made can do that....
if I look more I could probably go on...

I won't disagree that the final product was altered, but the second one did not start out as the first.

Back to the orginal intent of this post... whether or not this is the same photo or not, it doesn't matter. We know for a fact that the second photo was touched up in some degree.

I do this kind of restoration for a living and I can tell you that it would be a lot easier just to take another shoot then try to mask out the hair. I'm not saying it's impossible... just easier.

And depending on the angle the picture was taken, you can do some crazy things with your body. Anyone who has ever seen "American's next top model" would know what I mean when the judges critique the photos. I admit, I stand in front of the mirror just to see what angle would make me look thinner too.

Anyway, most of us, if not all must have come across the Dove commercial where they transformed a regular "jane doe" into a supermodel. I really like what Dove is trying to achieve with this. I wish more commericals and ads would be like this.

I believe Kate Winslet and some other actors have in fact went against their images being drastically altered. If anything, didn't the Vanity Fair or one of the bigger fashion magazine actually did an issue about this subjuect?

So. I have a friend who was a Dove girl herself. times square billboard etc. she is beautiful and full figured, but has had plastic surgery. So real is real, but not really real.

Obviously we have WAY too much time on our hands.... This is my first winter on TE. Do things get even buggier in February when biking is even more difficult?

Just wait until cabin fever really sets in!!!

Some folks take up skiiing or snowshoeing to get out. And some of us in the southern belt will get back out there to work off the holiday calories. But we get saved by those in the southern hemisphere who are in the full throws of SUMMER to bring us back to reality.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Timmy has gone out with his faithful dog Lassie to round up the missing cow and her new calf....

and I'm not a professional photographer either, although I have published photographs in government documents. Does that count?

Just wait. Winters on TE are a kooky mix of just about everything, and very few daily ride reports. It tends to get more and more 'philosophical' towards the end of winter. Also more arguments because everyone is going stir crazy and getting light-deprived.

Then in the Spring all the newbies come out in droves with all the same questions again (not saying this is BAD, just saying that it happens every Spring, and yes it would be cool if more of them could the search function)....what's the 'best' kind of bike to get? (while giving no information at all on themselves or how they intend to ride)....what's the 'best' saddle for comfort?.....what are the 'best' shorts?....(and all these 'bests' have to also be inexpensive of course)....what size bike do I need?.....how fast will I lose weight?....why do pedestrians jump into my path while I'm riding on the sidewalk and say "ON YOUR LEFT!"?....boyfriends buying or building bikes for their girlfriends without any input from the actual rider-to-be at all, like they know 'what's best' for her....clipless fall threads galore....the multiple "I can't believe that car pulled right in front of me, didn't he see me?!!" threads.....loser immature guys pretending to be girls and asking questions about bodily functions, girly parts and dirty/holey/chafing shorts....
...it's always fun .

Haha... that's awesome! I'm one of those nuts that cycle in the winter. My manager calls me a "soak rat" in an endearing way And my boyfriend have heart attacks when I tell him that it's okay to bike when there's a light snow on the ground...

I'm sure I'll be posting something like I fell on black ice today or something like that come Feb.

Ahhhh yes.....I came to TE in July and asked billions of questions which were ALL politely and THOROUGHLY answered by all of you dear people!!!!!!

Yup, I keep meaning to take photos of my daily commuting rides when something interesting pops up but.....it's wet and cold and now where is my camera...which pannier is in it....oh never mind.....
