    Boxing day - 26th December.

Traditionally when the aristocracy gave the contents of the poor boxes to the less well off. A national holiday in the UK.

I spend Christmas with my folks then fly out to Calgary.

I don't think we will be permanently together in the same country for at least a year. This is really through choice as neither of us wants to totally uproot.

We are lucky to be able to make this choice.

    allo

Bruno, you'll be with your man soon !

I know what it's like to not see your lovely love for a while due to being in different countries. Ian & I spent 6months apart in 04/05 whilst waiting for my NZ citizenship.. It doesn't help that I applied & two months later Ian was promoted plus transferred to Perth.

The artwork he did during his time alone over here is sad but he made some hilarious home videos

We had another stint between leaving Japan & moving to NZ..

    It'll sort itself out dear..

Hi, everyone. Sorry, feeling low at the moment. DH is struggling with the whole job loss thing this evening, and I am having an allergic or stress reaction on my face (!) that is terribly itchy and rather ugly.

We enjoyed the concert, but it's over and we are back to reality. We have friends coming tomorrow who I really want to see, but not right now and not like this. Some days, life is hard.

I'm having trouble drumming up the butterflies needed to keep that positive attitude that is supposed to help it all be easier and better.

    Thanks for listening,
    ~T~

    Ah T -

I've been there. I've learned the hard way to open up to good friends and let them be there for me. Not something I'm good at doing, but we've had a rough year.

Many butterflies headed your way - beautiful golden ones to lighten your mood and lovely lavender ones to comfort you.

for some reason... I am finding taking pictures on my way to work is helping me heal with the break-up. I am enjoying the 2 mile walk to work from the train... and am enjoying the cold and wind in my face. I am not sure why, but it just feels good this year.

so here's a pic from yesterday... this is the Chicago River that I cross everyday on my walk to work

KG, Pax, SG, CC, CA, Bruno - Thank you for the much-needed butterflies and well-wishes!! Things will get better, but I guess they have to hurt for awhile first. I so hate seeing my DH feel so low and so wish I could just take that all away from him....

Chicago - taking photos is like therapy. Finding beauty, especially in unexpected places and times, is like butterflies - healing.

    Hugs and butterflies,

T - you deserve every happiness, here's hoping things lighten up for you soon.

Chicago - I LOVE that city, I need to get up there more often. My niece works in the Hancock, are you anywhere near there?

actually yes!!... I work north of the river, and am very close to the Hancock. I like working up here... it's nice... and the walk from the train is great exercise.

If you come up... give me a holler... and we'll dinner or lunch or something

My niece lives just north of Wrigleyville and catches the bus downtown each morning, if she's not running late she'll get off a few stops early to enjoy a walk.
