They're on sale at a price that works for my always-limited budget, but if anyone has any experience/feedback regarding these panniers, I'd love to hear it!

I haven't tried them but I notice that their capacity is 1450 cubic inches for the pair. The Sunlite 1 panniers I just replaced with monstrous Artek panniers hold 1678 cubic inches and I loved them. Ignore the comments about the attachements not working well. They worked fine and in fact I never used the tied down hook on the bottom because they stayed on so well. AND they are only $27 for the pair! If you need more room without the panniers being too big, I'd go with the Sunlite 1. I could stuff a week's groceries (for 1 person, 2 dogs) in the Sunlite with no problem.

those sunlite don't look very waterproof, are they?
I'm liking those Detours myself, except for the lack of orange.

I think the orange is sold out; I've had my eye on them for a while. I just ordered the Transit Cycle panniers for $49 for the pair. They are two separate panniers vs. the saddlebags.
What made me decide in favor of them over the XPress was that there was no attachment for the XPress panniers at the bottom and I was afraid that would make them a PITA on my hill if they slid around.
