I thought about riding and looked at the web site for a local shop, does that count?

Lisa, I'm so relieved that your dinner was saved! Thank heavens for your DH's bicycle!!!
Well, actually he 'could' have taken the car....but the bike made it much more of an adventure!

Yes! I sometimes feel like I can see with xray vision with my amber yellow Eagle Eye glasses. I totally agree, riding slow on a steel bike looking at the world through golden glasses is a very luxurious thing!

No ride here. We had to visit family in Greensboro, but there was no spot at the table for us (Grandma lives in a retirement home and can only feed 10, and we let those that traveled the furthest eat). We came home to cook for ourselves and a friend with no family nearby. We did get a nice walk in - it was a lovely day in Durham - unseasonably warm!

I did my usual 12 or so miles on the bike path, then rode my bike to Thanksgiving dinner in Brooklyn. I found almost no car traffic, and there's a bike lane much of the way, so it was delightful.

Best of all, I got home thirty minutes earlier than my friends who traveled by subway.

DH and I did the 30 mile Andice Ride. DH forgets I have not been riding much and am a bit slow (averaging 14-15 is not that slow around here). We ended up being late to his mom's but I saved the day with my fabulous Pecan Walnut Chocolate pie. We saw a lot of people out taking advantage of the 60 degree morning and putting in a workout before stuffing their faces. My Polar said it was about 50/50 on aerobic/anaerobic with 1286 calories burned. I know that is more like 1,000 calories burned but still made that yummy dinner less guilty.

Today it is nasty and rainy so off to the Caverns we got to hike!

one of the peacocks on my ride. I guess my hand was still shaking and the bird was moving so this is the best of the bunch. i still don't know about the setting on my camera. But yes on Palos Verdes, there are peacocks around.
