    Winter Pineapple Run

Has anyone ever done this run? Here's the website
It really looks pretty fun, but I'm worried about the "obstacles". Anyone that can give me an idea what we are talking about?

Is anyone planning to do this this year? We may try to get a 4-person team together. Grass skirts for all! We may be looking for a spare team member -- I have to check into it further.

We have 2-3 work teams that are going. If you're looking for someone to team up with, I know THE most perfect person. I'd like to get her in one of our teams but ours are (I think) full.

I don't think it's that bad. A co-workers friend did it in 21 minutes. Of course they are FAST...but it looks like it's more fun than anything else.

You should do it!!! I betcha it will be good muddy fun complete with a beer garden and luau at the end

    Did it... did you?

Anyone else do the Winter Pineapple run last weekend? I finally got a couple of pics from it. It was short and sweet (around 3 miles), the weather was mostly nice, and it was a fundraiser for leukemia / lymphoma.

All in all, a great day! Except, as you see in the photos, my grass skirt didn't even make it thru the first obstacle... It was in several pieces by the end!

Jes, I wish I would have known that you were there! We started at 10:40.

It was a fun race, wasn't it? Did you get bruised? I still have big bruise spots on my legs but I don't think I was all that graceful going over some of the obstacles.

We had a great time in the beer garden then had a small tailgate party. Again, I wish we would've known you were there

Sorry to miss you, Teigyr! I wish we could have caught up with each other. Our start time wasn't until 12:20. And the line for food / party was so long after, that we just drove into the U district and went to the Mongolian Grill instead.

    Next time!

    My next two races:
The Jingle Bell Run in Mount Venron (December 6th) http://skagitjbr.kintera.org/faf/hom...?ievent=286481
and then the 1/2 marathon I may or may not be able to fully run, but will be there and finish!
Nookachamps Marathon, in Mount Vernon on Jan 17.

    Want to come play?!

The food line was short when we were there but we were early. I really really wanted an excuse to go to Thai Toms! DH didn't race so I split my food with him.

That half-marathon looks like fun. I will keep it in the back of my mind. I am working on a lot of form and PT things right now but my long run is ten miles so I could probably muster up 13 if I had to

    My next ones are:

Jingle Bell Run Dec 14 in Seattle (it is so much fun, isn't it?)
    St. Paddy's Day Dash March 14 (http://www.stpatsdash.com/)
See Jane Run half-marathon in late May
Seattle Rock 'n Roll Marathon in June
Portland Marathon in Oct. I really need a do-over on that one.

Am really really tempted to play. January 17. That is plenty of time to prepare!
