I never thought I'd be saying this.... but.... as I get older, I'm finding I need less sleep. I used to be a 9 hr person, 8 minimum. Now, cough, cough, grumble, mumble, that I'm approaching 50, I sleep 7 to 8 hrs - 7 on week days, and 8 on weekends. OK, sometimes 9 on weekends, I sleep all the way to 7 am.

I agreed with the less sleep as I get older. When I was in my 20's and 30's I would probably get 9 hours of sleep. Now at age coughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 52, I don't get anywhere near this. I think 7 is now the new 9.

I was getting about 3-4 hours due to not being able to fall asleep or stay asleep. DH would often say "maybe you don't need as much sleep as you think" However my Dr. finally adjusted my thyroid medication and I can now sleep for about 6-7 hours. Love it!!
